"Creative entrepreneurship has been a part of my life’s journey since I was a 7 year old little girl. Back in elementary school, I made Kool-Aid ice cubes and sold them for a nickel. Later on, I discovered rock candy and placed them in small and large sandwich bags and sold them for 25 and 50 cents. When I became a teenager in the early 90’s, I took jean jackets and jeans and cut them up and wrote sayings on them with puff paint and invested in gold plated beads and crystals and made beaded jewelry, selling pieces up to $100 a set.

 

As my entrepreneurial spirit continued to develop into young adulthood, I attended cosmetology school and styled hair and was a babysitter for my mother’s friends. It was then that I started cooking for people when they would come over to get their hair done. I didn’t know if they were actually looking forward to their hair styles or the food. That’s when I discovered my true passion and gift, connecting people with the love of food. People started loving my food and requesting dishes for their outside events which built my confidence to start developing my own business, pricing my dishes, and hiring additional help. I felt so much gratitude from the satisfaction on their faces and the laughter and love that filled the places I catered. I stopped wondering what my true passion was and where I belonged. My passion is impacting others through my delicious creations in environments full of people enjoying each other, having a great time amongst my tasteful, mouthwatering dishes.
